The following five scenic drives have been hand picked by Cornish cottage specialists West Cornwall Cottage Holidays as their favourite summer drives in Cornwall.

| King Harry Ferry |
Arguably the most ‘Cornish’ route you can take due to the fact that if you start at the Roseland Peninsula you will be driving through some very slim, single lane, roads that are great fun for cornering and maneuvering. Not only this but by being so close to trees, fields and bushes you might be lucky enough to see some wildlife and get back to nature, all while whizzing past in the comfort of your car. You can also cross the River Fal on the King Harry Ferry, which gives you a break from the driving and allows you to get some fresh, Cornish air.
As you drive away from Newquay you will drive past a number of beaches, including Porth beach, Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth. There are easier routes to get to Padstow from Newquay on the bigger, quicker roads, however none of them will match the views you see on this route. If you have the time to appreciate the sights and smells of the Cornish country/sea side then you definitely should, as you will not be disappointed.
Newquay and Padstow are two of the most popular areas in Cornwall during the summer and for good reason, Newquay offers some brilliant surfs and plenty to do in the town while Padstow is less of a party town and but boasts some fantastic views.

| Coastal road in Zennor |
This road practically runs along the side of the coastline of West Cornwall until you reach the picturesque little town of Sennen. On a warm day you can appreciate the scenery and the ocean in its element, however on a stormy winter’s day you can see the choppy ocean thrashing around, and the trees and bushes being attacked by the strong winds.
Putting your music on and cruising along this coastal route, you will forget that you are in UK. Its also the perfect time for a coastal cruise, as it only takes around half an hour, you will not get bored and remain fascinated by Cornwall.

| Whistsand Bay |
Down in the South East of Cornwall this drive is stunning particularly if you start on Rame Head and head west above Whitsand Bay as you can then see the coastline in all its beauty. When you’re driving you will pass over 5 miles of cliff edge, ocean and golden sands.
You’ll pass into Looe, which a scenic little fishing town on the east coast of Cornwall, which may be a nice place to stop off for a short while and grab something to eat.

| Boscastle |
Starting in Boscastle and heading up to Bude you will be driving along the curves on the coast of Cornwall. En-route there are a lot of places where you can stop and get your camera out, at the most scenic parts of the drive, so you can get some really impressive shots of the golden coast and deep blue sea.
There are also plenty of opportunities to take detours where you can see something new, some more amazing views and maybe stop off for some refreshments.
