If you think back over the years in Formula One racing - there has only been a handful of drivers with facial hair. One name springs to mind and that is Nigel Mansell and that epic moustache. After Mansell's official retirement from Formula One in 1995, he shaved off his well known moustache but made a re-appearance when he was interviewed by the BBC at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix. But apart from that I’m struggling. The Russian Grand Prix last weekend - Hamilton, Rosberg, Button, Bottas….they are all very clean shaven. Why is this? Perhaps facial hair and racing helmets don’t go together well. If anyone knows the real reason why this is, drop a comment below, we’d love to hear from you.
