Driving Through a Winter Wonderland

The winter months are awash with beautiful scenes thanks to the extreme weather conditions and although snow and ice may make for picturesque landscapes they are far from the ideal driving conditions. Drivers are forced to tackle some of the worst possible conditions making roads slippery, other drivers a hazard and driving visibility poor.

As a driver you certainly have to be more cautious when battling through the long winter months but provided you prepare yourself for what is to come there is no reason why the weather should stop you from using your vehicle.

The most important things to remember are to give yourself plenty of travelling time, expect delays and road closures and to make sure that your car is equipped to deal with the treacherous roads.
